My mother has a problem with her finances.

I was out shopping with my mother the other day. We were looking for some new designer handbags and slatwall panels for our home. After we went into the shop to purchase some handbags my mothers credit card got rejected. I queried this with my mother and she informed me that since my father had passed away she had gotten herself into an awful lot of debt. I was sad to hear this and said to my mother that we should maybe try and solve the problem before it got any worse. My mother a quivering wreck at having her credit card rejected agreed with me and we went to a secured loan company the next day. When we arrived my mother got on her hands and knees and asked the financial advisor for help as she knew she had spent so much money. The financial advisor just laughed at my mother. My mother eventually calmed down and as we left the financial advisors offices I spoke to her about our future. I explained that everything would be ok and there was no real reason to worry. I told her that money despite the amount or lack of it is not what is important in life.
