Many people are trying out a new weight loss treatment called “HCG drops”. Though the HCG hormone has been proven to work very well to promote weight loss, the vast majority of people purchasing these over the counter options are actually being taken advantage of by the retailers. Options available at places like Wal-mart or Target are in fact completely hormone free, and ergo, do not work at all. At least 150 IUs of HCG is necessary in order for successful results. However, the vast majority of these products do not contain any HCG at all.
Real HCG is necessary for success. Thousands of studies have indicated this fact, and it’s clear why this is necessary. These hcg weight loss drops do not provide any of the hormone at all, but without it, you’re basically just purchasing very expensive vitamin supplements. These do not help you lose weight, and in fact, can be very unsafe. Because the treatment calls for a reduced calorie diet, without additional help a person may become extremely hungry and go on a diet with very low calories without any help. Physicians are actually quite worried about this possibility, so the advice is generally to avoid these “alternatives” to HCG completely. People should stick to the things that work, and clearly the HCG program does. However, it requires a regular daily dosage of the hormone to be effective and change the body’s hypothalamus.
